Wine Review : Upward Dog is a dry white wine with notes of mango, papaya, pear, melon, and honeysuckle. A glass of wine is best enjoyed with Turkish-inspired cuisines like turli tava and zelnik. Riesling is one of those rare grapes that goes well with spicy food, so try jerk chicken or Mongolian pork. We also love it with chicken lettuce wraps and spanikopita, by the way.( winterwinebox.com) ( also was very hard to find reviews)

Wine Folly: according to Wien Folly the Riesling grape can range from BONE dry to  EXTREMELY sweet but also highly acidic. It also stated that Germany is the most important producer of this grape. If I purchase a higher quality that is from Germany this blog may have gone in a different direction .It also said it pairs well with shrimp and this time I did try it with shrimp and the flavors did balance well together. (Pg. 157) It was also stated that a wine with this grape should be in a purchase range around $26.00 which is far more than I paid for in regards to this brand. (Pg. 158)

My review: First I am going to rate this brand's wine a 4/10. Very low, one of the only benefits is that it paired well with my seafood pasta dinner. I will state that during my Swirl & Sniff I did get aromas of floral and fruity hints. It did also have a stronger scent of alcohol which could also coincide with the acidity level of this wine. I also got a very cheap taste. Once I took the first sip it seemed to taste more like water than wine. I also tasted this chilled wine as instructed by Wine Folly. There was also a bitter finish but even though it finished bitter it was smooth to sip on and did not cause a pucker while drinking which I was fond of. I overall would try this grape again but I will never buy this brand again. I will also invest more money into the wine I buy to attempt to have a better quality wine and experience.

P.S. Image featuring my dog Big Blue.
