Wine Review : 100% Traminette. Semi-sweet. Note of ripe peach and honeysuckle. 3% RS. 12% ABV This wine was named after one of our Vineyard dogs, Willie Nelson! ( hard to find reviews of the wine since it is so local. so this is the review from their site)
Wine Folly: On Wine Folly it is also known as Traminer. It is a wine that has been treasured for the floral scents. It is also quite popular in Europe . Wine Folly also stated that it would pair well with spicier dishes such as Indian foods and as well as Moroccan. (Pg 114) The scents that can be found in this wine according to Wine Folly are grapefruit , ginger and rose. (Pg. 115) When I tasted this particular one I was able to smell honeysuckle and less fruit. It gave more of a natural aroma than fruity.
My review: I personally enjoyed the wine. It was a really nice white wine. The last one I tried was very bad but this one far surpassed the last white wine. I enjoyed the natural essence of the wine. The aroma being more natural was very pleasant for me. I enjoyed smelling the wine and feeling like I was outdoors enjoying my childhood. While also not feeling too floral. It was also semi -sweet but still tasted on the sweeter than drier side. I really enjoyed the wine while I was drinking it. It went down smooth and it was such a good finish well also feeling it such a nice and light and airy wine. It also seemed to pair well with the dishes eaten which were crab dip and chips. The chips had a spicier taste which I think made it balance well with the wine. I would recommend this wine to others. I would give it an 8/10.
