Wine Tasting: The Magic In Wine

Wine Review : Light body. Zippy notes of tropical fruit, red apple and light minerality. There were no more reviews on this wine. It was stated from a wedding review that this wine was used and it went well with their event. The bottle had also been mentioned that people did not like the darkness of the bottle because they could not see the wine and for some they connect the color with quality.


Wine Folly: Wine folly stated that this grape is treasured for its intense floral aromas. . It has also been popular in Europe. Some scents that are typical for this wine would include rose, ginger, grapefruit and tangerines. It should be swerved in a white glass and it should be ice cold when served . There is also a variety of sweetness involved with this wine. It also has a higher alcohol content. The body is also moderate; this information was all provided by wine folly. Pg . 115 

 

My review: After completing my Swirl and Sniff I was able to get extreme strawberry scents. Very floral and plant based but lacking this woody scent. It looked like a rose whine but it was labeled as a white wine so that was very different to see that white wine can have such a dark or golden color as well. It was now time to take a taste. Once I took the first sip I was in love with the wine. It tasted so delicious . It had no real taste but it felt so airy and light . This was really hard to explain but the feeling was magical from the wine. I also had a really nice finish . The finish was smooth and there was no bitter aftertaste or anything. I also realized since it had no real taste it seemed like it would pair well for events because it seemed like it wouldn't have any contradicting flavors to the meals that would be served. Overall it is a 9/10 for myself.

Winery Visit: Ashton Creek Vineyard/Event Center

So this past weekend I took a trip with my cousin to the Ashton Creek Vineyard. It was a beautiful place even though there was no greenery to be seen, the views were gorgeous. We walked through and were able to do a flight in the dining area. Once we walked in we selected the three wines we each wanted to try. The flight list we were given to select from She then ordered some food as well. She ordered a crab dip and a salad as her meals with the wine. Once we sat down we then decided to try her first. My cousin talking to me as well as her flights So we started with her wine which was called Willies . After tasting that we were able to smell and feel natural tones but it did not have a fruity taste to it.
