Wine Review : This is a very light and dainty rose wine that has an effervescent quality about it. It has predominantly green apple and subtle citrus notes. It would be ideal for sitting out for a poolside breakfast on a hot summer day. It is so refreshing!I buy a case of this at the start of summer for Friday night happy hour. Light, refreshing, DRY. l like the effervescence- fuzzy but not like seltzer.( total wine reviews on this wine)
Wine Folly: according to the wine folly page 27 the color of this wine is pale salmon. It was also stated on page 60 that it is great to be paired with salty and crumbly cheeses. Was also stated that the Rosé wines have hints and aromas of white peaches and strawberries as well as some wild flowers. There are also many different ways to make Rosé wine and to have the different combinations with all different scents as well as flavors and which grapes will be used to make up the majority of the blend.
My review: At first glance I was able to tell that the wine had a glorious pink color. I love the color pink and it is one of the ways I pick out my Rosés. I then smelt the wine and was able to smell some strawberries in this wine but also got many different hints of citrus scents. It was like smelling a fruit bowl. On the first sip I was able to tell it was a dry wine which I was not expecting but in this case was a pleasant surprise. There is kind of a bitter finish but nothing too strong to cause a dislike. I do feel I would casually drink this wine but not offer it to others unless I know they like dry wines and not sweet wines. The dryness of the wine did overpower flavors for me though so I was not able to taste all the citrus items
