Wine Review :

Nice fruity taste but not sweet. Ends with some nice spice. Excellent value and an everyday wine.Nice dark fruit Long finish with no tannins or acidity Medium bodied.I’m so happy I tried this wine. Absolutely will choose it again. Very smooth and flavorful.Got this for thanksgiving and everyone loved it. Our wine group thought it was the best of the evening.I tempered my expectations knowing that its a $10 bottle, but even then I didn't get any of the full bodied, red fruity flavors that I expect out of a Syrah. ( total wine various reviews)

Wine Folly: according to wine folly page 172 the Syrah is a rich and powerful meaty red wine. This page also stated that the wine has a FULL body and that there is no sweetness to this wine. Also someone in the reviews stated there was no tannins but that would false it is a medium amount if tannins in this wine but due to the tannins, acidity, and the alcohol are all the same then it probably was so well balanced for them that there was no way to distinctly taste it. There are also hints of blueberry and milk chocolate in this wine. I do feel kind of worried about how intense the tobacco scents and tastes will be but other than that I am eager to try it. It is also best used if it is decanted and served at room temperature.

My review: when doing my own review I had various findings based on my own preferences. When I did my Swirl and Sniff I was able to get scents of the blueberries that Wine folly stated. It was also a very strong scent overall. There was the smell of alcohol as well as the sweetness of the blueberries and plums. It was also stated that this wine would go well with meats and I could see why it seemed from the scent alone to be really well balanced. I don't eat meat but would offer it to those who do at family gatherings since it does seem like it would pair well and not decrease the food's value by being too sweet. It was then time to taste the wine and I was actually kind of scared since I am typically not a dry wine drinker. It was not too bad though. It was dry but tasted overall pretty good. I do think I decreased some of the wine quality by having it cooled instead of room temperature but it made it easier for me to get it down. I swirled it in my mouth and tasted some hints of what tasted like second hand smoke and that was not pleasant at all but the wine was a 5/10 for me.
